A loyal ‘Scribbler’ sent me this picture today.
I read all the graffiti on it. I even went to the two URLS that are scribbled on the wall.
Eastcoastbikerchicks.com is exactly what it sounds like, a bunch of female (lesbian) bikers with a web page that looks like it was designed in 1997 during the height of the animated GIF days. Flaming wallpaper backround, animated fire GIFS, and an embbeded song (Nickelback’s ‘Figured You Out’).
It was like a trip down internet memory lane and a trip to a lesbian strip club all at the same time. The other URL is now defunct so RIP fortdrastic.com.
But the standout scribble was the line “Kyla is a lumberjack”. Who is Kyla? Is she really a lumberjack? Did someone write this to put Kyla down? Did Kyla write this because she just became a lumberjack and she’s so proud she feels she needs to write it on the bathroom wall?
I did some google searches frantically trying to find out who Kyla was and if she was really a lumberjack. I found a few images and pieced them together to create who I think Kyla is. Kyla if you are out there I’d love to hear from you. The world needs to hear your story.
If you stare at this image of Kyla for a long time while listening to the track I embedded above you can really feel her spirit come right through the internet, out your modem and right into your heart.
