Happy Memorial Day: Fuck George Bush

Hey everybody. Hope you all have a fantastic Memorial Day today. Be sure to think of all those guys and girls who are over in Iraq or Afghanistan in harm’s way. If you can, perhaps donate a few dollars to a worthy cause that supports veterans please do so. My suggestion is the Navy Marine Corps Relief Fun.

Oh and also give some thought to NOT voting for John McCain in November if you were planning on it. You know, John McCain, Vietnam Veteran, P.O.W., supporter of our troops? Yeah that guy. Well Mr. McCain decided not only to not vote for the new GI BILL, he decided he wouldn’t even show up for the vote itself. And President Bush? That draft dodging assclown is going to veto the GI BILL even though it passed Senate.I don’t care if you are liberal, conservative, libertarian or communist but our troops do not deserve to be treated like slaves.

George Bush and John McCain are both complete and utter fucktards. I hope when they die they go to heaven. I hope when they get there God welcomes them with huge hugs and kisses. I hope God seats them both on two huge thrones adorned with gold and diamonds. I hope God then straps them into those throwns, forces their mouths open and watches and laughs as every soldier, sailor and marine killed in Iraq gets to line up and shit in their mouths and punch them in the stomach. McCain thought 7 years in Vietnam was bad….just wait for eternity you fucking piece of crap.

Oh so…HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!!

    Too many people tie the war and the troops to the same issue. As if you don’t support the war, you’re saying fuck you to the troops, but that’s just not the case. Fuck Bush!

    First of all, I never planned on voting for McCain for what I think are obvious reasons, but this GI Bill business is just another strike against him. And just like Megatrout, it pisses me off that people seem to think that if you are against the war, then you are against the troops. Or if means you are “unAmerican.” Bull. I remember talking with my roommate before the war started. I obviously hoped it wouldn’t happen, but knew it was inevitable. She unfortunately wanted the war for all the media bullshit reasons. (I try not to hold that against her, she really is a nice girl even though she is confused and thinks she is a republican. And before anyone jumps on me, no I don’t think all republicans are inherently evil. Most are, granted. But there are a few that are ok. And this girl really isn’t a republican. She is a Capitalist. Also, she really likes being contrary and she likes people being like WTF when she tells them she is republican.) Anyhoos… I didn’t think the reasons we were being given were real, and I foresaw mass chaos if we entered Iraq. After we started this mess, my roommate and I had many more discussions about it. And my stance always was: I support the troops 100%. But I do not support the war they are fighting. Which means a few things. First of all, I make a point not to talk about Iraq with the people I know in the military. They really really don’t need to hear me get all heated about how I don’t think we should be there and bla bla bla. Secondly, being supportive doesn’t just mean saying “Oh yeah. I totally support the troops and stuff.” And it doesn’t mean NOT pelting them with eggs when they come home. It means being active in your support. Few people are so broke that they can’t spare a few bucks for someone else who needs it more. I know there are probably millions of charities out there for good causes. But there are over 300 million people in the United States. If half those people gave one dollar every year toward charities aimed at helping vets, imagine the difference it would make.

    So um, yeah. That sounded preachy I’m pretty sure. But whatever. fuck Bush. Yay for the men and women in the military, and happy belated Memorial Day.
