You bring up some good points. You have given me some more info for my ongoing investigation into singles, kayaks and sexually transmitted diseases and for that, you have my gratitude. But I have to ask, even if it is the ‘defining sport for singles’ could it ever really ‘define a person’?

Kayaking is naturally the defining sport of singles. Instead of two people each having an oar and working together to power and steer the boat, a kayaker is out there all by himself with a two-sided oar that allows (forces?) him to steer and power the entire boat himself.

Or, its because they live in NYC and every summer, each NY paper/culture magazine routinely does a feature on free kayaking on the Hudson – so its become one of those cool things that everyone has done (or pretends to have done) a time or two, or at least comes easily to mind when asked for your favorite activities.

I remember watching those Valtrex commercials and everyone on there is Kayaking. Does that mean that those people on these dating websites use Valtrex? LOL
